WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The President leads Casuarina Rugby Club and carries overall responsibility for its direction, governance and day to day health. You are the club's main spokesperson and the person the committee, coaches and volunteers look to for steady leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the committee, volunteers, players and wider club community with clear, consistent direction.

  • Chair all committee meetings and keep them focused, inclusive and decisive.

  • Set the club's strategic direction with the committee and membership.

  • Represent the club in official matters with rugby unions, sponsors and community partners.

  • Make sure club governance is sound and meets the constitution, policies and regulations.

  • Stay in regular contact with coaches, managers and volunteers so teams run smoothly.

  • Build a positive, inclusive culture that reflects the club's community spirit.

  • Step in on conflict, disciplinary issues and anything needing executive oversight.

  • Work with the Treasurer on financial planning, and mentor committee members for future leadership.
