BUSIEST

Around grant rounds through the year

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Grants Coordinator finds the money the club can't raise on its own. You track down grants from government, councils and community funders, write strong applications and make sure we deliver what we promised once the money lands. A good grant can pay for new equipment or field upgrades, or get a whole new program running.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Look for grants that suit the club's needs, including government, council and community foundation programs.

  • Keep a calendar of grant rounds, opening dates and deadlines.

  • Work with the committee to agree which projects to put forward each year.

  • Write and submit applications, gathering quotes, letters of support and financial records along the way.

  • Get the numbers from the Treasurer so budgets and acquittals are accurate.

  • Make sure the club meets each grant's conditions, timelines and reporting requirements.

  • Prepare acquittal reports and keep evidence such as receipts, photos and participation numbers.

  • Keep a record of every application, including successful ones, unsuccessful ones and feedback received.

  • Work with the Communications & Media Officer to thank funders publicly where required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Confident writer who makes a persuasive case

  • Organised and good with deadlines

  • Eye for detail with paperwork and compliance

  • Comfortable with budgets and simple financials

  • Grant writing experience (a plus)

  • Keeps going after a knockback

TIME COMMITMENT

  • Committee meetings, with a grants update

  • Bursts of work around each grant round

  • Ongoing reporting on grants already won

  • Regular contact with the Treasurer and President
