WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Canteen Coordinator runs the club canteen day to day. You manage stock, buy supplies, look after equipment, staff the counter and keep everything compliant with food safety rules. The canteen is a big part of the club atmosphere and a real contributor to its finances.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Run the canteen at training, game days and events.

  • Do regular stocktakes and order all food, drinks and consumables.

  • Have the canteen fully stocked before every event or game day.

  • Maintain canteen equipment and replace it when needed.

  • Recruit, roster and coordinate volunteers

  • Keep the canteen clean, organised and compliant with Council health regulations.

  • Maintain safe food handling, hygiene and storage.

  • Keep accurate records of sales, expenses and stock for reporting and budgeting.

  • Give friendly service, and work with the committee on menus and peak events.

  • Strong organisation and eye for detail

  • Works well with all kinds of people

  • Food handling, retail or hospitality experience highly desirable

  • Manages time well under pressure

  • Knows or will learn food safety rules

  • Committee meetings as required

  • Ongoing stock, staffing and compliance through the season
